For as long as I can remember, I have been painting and drawing. I became a school psychologist and used art therapy with children. It was a way of creating a safe space for them to express themselves, and was a stress reliever as well. I am currently a watercolor artist and collagist, and am drawn to shapes and color. I particularly love details and paintings related to the ocean, my second passion. I paint detailed strawberries, colorful lobsters, snow capped mountains, and groves of birch trees, to name a few. My collages are focused on form and color, and the use of every day items. I am a member of two art associations, and have won awards for my watercolor paintings.
